Tell Your Story
Make a video telling us what it’s like as a Black woman or woman of color in your workplace.
You can tell about a time you felt targeted, disrespected, or looked over, or speak about your experiences generally. What does it feel like to be a Black/Indigenous/Latinx/Asian woman in your industry or specific office?
Tell us about the intersection of your race with other factors that could be contributing to the discrimination. Are you queer, overweight, or have a disability? Do you cover or wear your hair in natural styles? Do you have a college degree? Are you experiencing ageism?
We’d prefer videos, but understand not everyone is in a position where they feel comfortable showing their face. There is also an option to submit your story in written or in audio form.
Things to remember:
1. Make sure you have proper lighting.
2. Record with the phone or camera positioned horizontally.
*Keep in mind that we may have to edit videos to fit best on Instagram. We will be thoughtful when doing this!
